Beta testers wanted

We’re about to release another new app. It’s an app that we’ve been working on for almost a year and is by far our biggest and coolest app to date.

We’re looking for a bunch of beta testers to help us beat the crap out of the app so we can find any remaining bugs/issues before we launch it. If this is you, leave a comment below with your device UDID. Mention what kind of device you have (iPhone 3GS, iPod touch, etc) and why you feel you’d be a good beta tester.

Bear in mind that the app is primarily an iPhone app, but it also works on iPod touch so we’re looking for some testers for those devices. And we’re also looking for some jailbroken devices so be sure to mention if yours is (you jailbreak bastards tend to give us the most trouble but we still want to make sure the app works for you :P ).

    I think that my iphone 3G would be a great testing tool for your app, because I love to use the crap out of the ones that I already have and I really love telling other people about how cool it is when I am done. I really do like to try and find things wrong with things, and right too. But it’s important to make sure that things are tested thoroughly before sending out to the masses. hope that I’m up for consideration. Thanks for your time!!

    I’ll be more than happy to beta test, I have iPhone OS 4.0 on an iPod Touch 3G and I have found many problems with other applications in the past. Like the ustream app doesn’t show video and a lot of applications on 4.0 has a bad way to detecting if there is a network connection. I am also a developer so I can go into console and debug the application for you.

    Jailbroken 1st Generation 16GB Ipod Touch

    -Why Do I feel I’d be a good beta tester?
    Well I spend a lot of time playing with apps on my ipod touch, I treat it as a gaming handheld (it replaced my PSP) as well as a media device. I know how to push an App to its limits and I’ve been know to spend weeks playing the same game, and most utilities I get tend to be used for a long period of time (probably for ever, unless something better comes out)

    I’ve enjoyed your apps in the past and would appreciate the chance to help out by beta testing any new products.

    I’d be a good beta tester because I have owned every single iPhone and worked for Apple for 2 years. I did iPhone/iPod tech support actually, and dealt with it on a daily basis. I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t work.

    Currently, I have an iPhone 3GS running beta 3 of 4.0 and will definitely be getting the new iPhone when it comes out. I do not have it jailbroken since 4.0 doesn’t have a public release, but I will the second it is available. I love testing out software and critiquing it, especially the GUI, which is what I am going to school for currently, Communication Design. Can’t wait to see your new stuff!

    I would make a great beta tester. I have beta tested many apps in the past (although admittedly not for the iPhone). I am active in the Evernote, Dropbox and Apple forums, discussing problems, fixes and feature suggestions.

    9 times out of 10 I opt into beta versions of apps, not just for new features, but helping devs is cool too (geeky, cool, whatever word you want to use).

    I have an iPhone 3GS, not jailbroken (I see no reason to do it).

I use my iPod on a daily basis and usually have it with me at all times. It’s on my home WiFi network, has the latest iPhone OS software (public release at least, not iPhone OS 4), has location services on and accurately knows where I am, and regularly receives push notifications. If you’re also concerned about secrecy, I can keep a secret. I have to regularly because of what I work on.

    Oops, meant to also add in that I’m a big time hacker (or at least installer of hacks :D ). I try out every awesome hack that comes my way, and always update to alpha versions if they’re available, even if I have a stable version and the alpha has known bugs (did it just yesterday as a matter of fact!) I always update so I can help find solutions to problems. I’ve reported a ton of bugs in various jailbreak apps to the developers and they got them fixed.

    I’d love to test your guy’s new app! I worked for Apple for two years and did tech. support for iPhones and iPods, as well as one-to-ones. I worked with the device on a daily basis and have had every single model that has come out. I plan to buy the new one when it is released as well.

    Currently, I am running a 3GS running 4.0 with beta 3. I do no have it jailbroken, obviously, since there has not been a release yet. But as soon as a public release is available I will have my phone jailbroken. I pay close attention to detail, especially when it comes to GUI. I am always critiquing apps and thinking of ways to improve them. I am actually going to school for Communication Design to learn more of just that. Hope you guys let me test out your app!

    I have owned an iPhone 3GS 32GB since August when I bought it new from AT&T. Lately, I’ve been on a quest to make my iPhone’s home screens and apps full of eye candy.     I have an iPod Touch 8gb second gen.

    Why would I be good? I love apps. I’ve probably tried them in the thousands, if only in the hundreds. Apps of all kinds, too. Productivity, randoms, social networking, games of all shapes and sizes, ect. And I like to think I have an eye for things buggy, as well as appreciation for true quality.

    I’m a student, so I’m constantly using my phone for something. Texting, calls, games, word processing, not a class period goes by that I don’t use my phone. I’m not afraid of buggy software in fact I use alpha and beta level software by choice.     As being an iPhone developer myself, I fully agree to LairBob’s statement (http://www.taptaptap.com/blog/beta-testers-wanted-2/#comment-3074).

    However, I’d really like to test your new app. Having some experience in developing iPhone apps, I can eventually find issues non-developers won’t find or won’t see as an issue.

    Currently I’m having two devices to test on, a first generation iPhone, 3.1.3, jailbroken and an iPhone 3G, 3.1.3 non-jailbroken.

    But I still will not post my UDIDs here.

I bought the iPhone when it launched and later I bought the iPhone 3G and since Tap Tap appeared as a jailbreak app, I’ve been a follower of the Tap Tap apps and I love them!.     I’ve beta tested a few major PC game releases, including Tropico 3 and Starcraft II. I tend to explore applications a lot, pretty much with the express intent of breaking them. I constantly have my phone with me, and I don’t have a data plan, but am nearly always surrounded with wi-fi, so I can test your app’s behavior under those conditions.

    I love a well crafted app. I’m a junkie for apps such as facebook, gowalla, Digg and Voices. My husband says I spend more time with my iPhone apps that I do with him.

    I’m a good tester because I don’t care about specs and stuff. I just care about if an app is easy fun and/or timesaving in use. Depend on the app. My main concern is that thing works.

    I know I will be a good beta tester since I am really into my iPhone applications (iPhone 4 here) always checking for new ones, testing them, reviewing them. Very enthusiastic to the iPhone APP life ;)

    complete mac nerd.
