Camera+ hits 500,000 sales just 2 days after launching Camera+ 2
Well, that was an insane relaunch. I’m incredibly happy to announce that in just 2 short days after releasing Camera+ 2, we’ve gotten our 500,000th sale.
The app is currently #2 in the Top Paid chart in the US, right behind the highest-selling iPhone app ever, Angry Birds. Will we be able to unseat it? We’ll see… but I’m not holding my breath. It’s simply amazing how long the game has been able to maintain its place at the top of the heap. And it’s success is very well-deserved as I’m an admitted Angry Birds addict myself.
A big thanks goes out to everyone who’s helped make this possible. Here’s hoping to an even faster next 500,000. Stay tuned for some very cool things in upcoming versions of Camera+…

Are you guys ever going to address the nearly two months of complete silence from your company after Camera+ was pulled from the app store?
Don’t get me wrong – I’m a huge Camplus fan (it is the only camera app ever to replace the built in one on my home screen) – but I am very curious about what appears to me to be a massive PR blunder…

I absolutely love Tap Tap Tap! I’ve got all your apps and Camera+ has replaced the default camera.app on my iPhone since its first incarnation!

I can’t say that I’d love Tap Tap Tap, and that is because of their complete silence for months – not even replying to support questions. But the app itself is truly great, I do love the app. So congratulations to your 500.000 sales. The app does deserve it.

Version 2 is a free upgrade, but I suggest you put aside one buck for the in app effects purchases. They are nice.

Why can’t you guys add something as basic as “Date/Time stamp” as an optional feature? Every “real” digital camera has had this option since day one!! I will not buy a camera app without this feature!!

Well done guys! You deserve it, 4 months off the store?! Wow! Apple finally came to their senses, loved the VolumeSnap feature though ;D
But anyway, 2.0 is so much better, faster, less clunky and it’s now my number one camera app! Are we ever gonna see video recording?

@Major: Dear god, why? The metadata already has the time/date in it, why would you want to jank up the actual picture with an ugly red/yellow/green/whatever pixelated time/date stamp?

I just have one request. Could you please add in real HDR. Other than that camera+ is the best app in the app store. Also maybe you could add panoramas and videos.

Excellent work ! A little faith can often take you a long way.
Two requests from my end please: every screen (eg. the lightbox, view mode, edit mode) should have the camera button, so no matter where you are, it takes you just one tap to get back capturing photos.
And video support would be very nice.

Congratulations on this excellent app. I love it so far.
I was going to suggest exactly the same things as SC, which are shortcut button to take you back to camera, and video capture. Even a very basic video capture will suffice, so at least we can use this app entirely instead of having to switch back the iPhone’s standard camera app.

I love your app, but I REALLY wish you’d fix the share (no internet connection) issue. I’m having to switch to Instagram just to get the photos I’ve taken and editted on YOUR app up onto the net.
