Camera+ 3.0.2 is out… bug fixes aplenty!

  • fixed a bug where Camera+ would launch very slowly if you previously had your shooting mode set to Burst (if you’re still experiencing slow launch times, please contact us with more details so we can help resolve any lingering issues)
  • fixed a bug where some user’s photo libraries weren’t able to load after pressing the Magical + Button™
  • fixed a bug where a mysterious white line would appear at the bottom of the Lightbox at seemingly random times (our first assumption was that it was some sort of paranormal thing, but after further inspection, it turned out to simply be us using too aggressive of an image optimization setting for the app graphics… science wins again!)
  • fixed a bug where we somehow cut the wire that links the optimized quality setting in the menu to the actual function in the app… apologies to those of you who have limited space on your iPhone
  • fixed a bug relating to missing date information in the photo EXIF data (apologies for the jargonriffic explanation for this one)
  • NOT owned by Facebook

Oh, and speaking of Facebook, we have fixes for the issues that some of you’ve been experiencing with Facebook posting. We decided that it’d be best to hold them for the next release because we need to do much more extensive testing on them, though. But rest assured that we’re on it and you’ll see them in another update shortly.

Any plans for a universal app now that the iPad camera is worthy of one?

No need for a Universal app. I’d actually prefer to have them separated. Retina quality resources are causing apps to get quite heavy.

Oh, and I’m very happy you’re NOT owned by Facebook.

Hahaha!! •Not owned by Facebook, classic! :’)

Since upgrading I can no longer access the edit area at all. I can snap a pic, but when I try to edit, it hangs every time. :c

Universal or not, I’d love an iPad version :-)

An iPad Version would be awesome.

The blog post says that in Camera+ 3.0.2 a bug preventing the “optimized” quality was fixed. Mine (3Gs) still will not take the reduced sized photos. Anyone else out there having this problem?

    +1 for iPad app!
Not only is the camera now worth it but the Retina display deserves it. Can’t wait to play around with filters and effects on the large iPad screen.

Can you give us a hint if this is on the dev roadmap?

Now can you fix the bug where Camera+ has a really long “funny” update list every time i look at my app store? Reading through all that to pick out the actual update details is a pain in the ass.

Any way to get camera+ on the iphone lock screen?

When uploading to Flickr, the “none” option in sets is now gone. If I select a set for one photo, upload, and then return to share a second photo, it defaults to putting it in the same set and there doesn’t seem to be a way to deselect sets now that the “none” option is gone. You can only switch around which set to put it in.

Need to be able to add photo to Facebook page! Doesn’t give the option to choose personal page or business page under the same account.

Can u make the digital zoom be an option?
It’s kind of annoying when u try to move focus or EX to the place it is.
Honestly I just don need zoom sometimes.

Why not make it like instagram? I do not mean to owned by FB haha.
The photo upload of twitter n FB is different. If I UL a photo to twitter, I’ll get a link like, but is not for FB UL, why not?
I also want my camera+ photos in FB got a link, like I said, like instagram.
Is there any tricky for that?

This is my favorite and absolutely most used camera app! It is the first one I turn to for photography, but I would like to see some additional features added to make it the ONLY photography app I need to use. These are my top 10 requests!
    1) Add support for shooting 1080p video and integrate clips into the light table used for pictures.
    2) Add support for true HDR, not filter. If we had the choice to take 2-5 pictures to combine into an HDR, that would be great. Even better would be if the app analyzed the scene and automatically took the pictures in succession and layered them automatically as well.
    3) Add ability to rotate an image less than 90 degrees in a direction. An example of this would be to straighten a horizon or to slightly angle a shot.
    4) Option for slow shutter speeds for night photography.
    5) Some additional filters to experiment with would be nice. Not so much toy filters, but ones that offer subtle changes, such as more options for black and white, grads, color tones, etc.
    6) Access from the iPhone lock screen.
    7) Stacks would be really nice! Instead of duplicating images in the light table to create different looks, use Stacks to create different versions.
    8) Ok this is totally stretching, but the ability to auto-stitch panoramas horizontally, vertically, and both would be a very nice added bonus!
    9) Slider adjustments for Exposure, Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, , Vibrance, Fill Light, Hue, tint, color temp, sharpening, chroma de-noise, luminance de-noise, clarity, darken highlights, lighten highlights, etc.
    10) Selective adjustments. Ability to use your finger to highlight a specific area that your chosen adjustments and filters will either affect, or not affect.

A couple of times lately I’ve reached for Camera+ when the built in app doesn’t have the function I need, but both times the function I’ve needed is White Balance Lock!
Any chance of this feature appearing in the near future please?

My number 1 camera app. But since having trouble uploading to Facebook I revoked access and tried to setup sharing again. When I goto put in my credentials for fb it reloads and asks me again in a loop over and over. Then when logging onto facebook it lockstep Facebook account saying someone tried hacking. PLEASE FIX PRETTY PLEASE.
Oh and would love to see a universal app too ;-)

Loved the app, Camera+, until it stopped uploading to Facebook. Tried reinstalling. No luck. Anywhere to look for a solution?

Weird thing with 3.0.2 - Started capturing pictures at 640x480 a few days ago. I just discovered it when downloading shots from the weekend.

Uninstall and reinstall fixed it. But now I’m worried that it will happen again. Reviews on the app store are citing this same problem - do you have a fix?

As Charles said before “4) Option for slow shutter speeds for night photography.” is there any possibility to include an option to adjust the shutter speed?

Folks, please please fix that Facebook authorization issue so the sharing workflow finally is available for us with login issues.

My problem is that any images I import to edit with Camera + are unable to be edited. What’s the point of importing if I can do nothing with that photo?
