Ignore this if you don’t want to be sold at
Convert recently took a dip in the charts so we’ve decided to further play the pricing game and put it on sale for 99¢.
Convert’s widely regarded as the best unit converter on the App Store, with a beautiful design and very intuitive UI. So if you’ve never checked it out, you’ll want to see what you’re missing.
Get it now at the App Store before the price goes back up as we approach the release of Convert 2.0 (which will be free to all existing Convert users)…

Will there be a free upgrade to Convert 2.0 if I already have 1.0?

Maybe if you wanted to increase sales you should have ended the post at “before the price goes back up”.
With Version 2 coming and how wonderful version 1 surely people will hold out a little bit longer to see how version 2 (which might be a paid upgrade like atebits’ Tweetie 2 was) works and how it is different to version 1.
As someone who bought it for full price, and loves it, I can’t wait to see what you might have done to improve upon it in version 2.

Yes, Convert 2.0 will be free to all existing users. I just updated the post to make that clear.

Wow! Well worth the money. Bought Convert on day 1 and it’s the only conversion app I need.

I recently moved from ConvertBot to Convert simply because of ease of use. I find Convert to be more intuitive, and I certainly use this app a lot as a programmer

Let us know if the price drop works to bump sales, and if total revenue goes up or down.

In convert 1 I get confused but the (US) measurements. Since I’m accustomed to the metric system I don’t know which units in US and UK differ.

How are you going to make 2.0 free only to existing users?

Really appreciate the info on your blog and getting convert. You have some of the best designed apps in the app store and your candid talk about the business side of things have really helped us out developing our first 2 apps. Our latest app just released today and we are so excited to keep creating!

Any sneak peaks on new features + screenshots of Convert 2.0 to quench existing client’s thirst for a bit or tempt potential clients?

Any chance you could add a bandwidth section to Convert. Mebibits, megabits etc?

Absolutely love Convert but without the Romanian Leu being available in the currency section (I am a Peace Corps Volunteer in Romania) I sadly have to use Convertbot for my money conversion needs. Any chance version 2.0 will include this oft overlooked but oh colorful currency?

I really hope you do a version of Convert for the iPad. It will be especially useful if the iPad does not come with a calculator. I personally prefer Convert anyway.

I also think it would be awesome if you could add precious metals like gold and silver to the currency function.
Thanks

Hi,
Convert is a great app. Looking forward for 2.0 version. Please please, add Argentina Pesos for the currency converter, it’s really missing. And also Vietnamese.
Thanks
