Introducing Camera+ …the ultimate photo app
In the past, we strived to make apps that people would say were, “as if Apple made it themselves”. This, to us, is no longer good enough and one of our major goals is to go beyond what Apple would create. With our latest app, we feel that we’ve achieved that goal.
So, without further adieu, and with no modesty, I present to you Camera+…
tap tap tap is a leading iPhone and iPad app developer and publisher. We’ve been creating top-notch apps since the App Store first opened. Our apps are used by literally millions of people in all corners of the world.
A few of our favorite and most popular apps we’ve created are:

Hate to say it, but while it’s very good-looking I can’t help but wonder if it will be yet another gorgeous piece of abandonware like Voices.

Congrats on the release! Just bought it and about to try it out. I’m sure it’s going to be great. But please update your apps as often as you can with new features! Still waiting for a Voices update!

I’m very worried about your lack of commitment to your previous apps as it seems to portend that you care only about initial revenue from the release of your apps and not about your software as expression of who you are as developers. Camera+ seems like an awesome app, but it needs work (re: filter stacking) and attention if it is to become a great app. Your customers really do care about who you are and the fact that you leave your apps to die alone will be evident in your reviews…your previous apps are all poorly rated because of your inattention

I’m loving it so far. But you know what would make this the BEST camera app? If you added video to it too, especially for 3G owners. Please do!

little bit off-topic, but the mirror of the iPhones is messed up. Your whole site looks amazing, but especially this mirror-bug draws my attention.

hi – curious if iOS4 does/will support full EXIF headers on the iPhone – I know these were fairly limited to 3rd party camera apps in OS 3. Before I buy Camera+ I want to know that it will produce the same metadata and quality of photos I would get from the native iPhone camera app.
Posted this to your (abandoned?) GetSatisfaction support page as well: http://gsfn.us/t/15vg0
Thanks!

I can’t believe you guys changed the price to $0.99 two weeks after the launch date. I feel cheated. =(
I always buy taptaptap apps on launch day but I’m going to wait from now on.
While I love the app, I’m just disappointed with your move. I wouldn’t have felt disappointed if you changed the price after a month, but two weeks? Come on…

I’m shocked to read that you have dropped the price to the minimum… Are you guys having any trouble or financial difficulties?
I bought the app last week and really liked it. Good UI, innovative way of processing, good workflow. Really up to your standards.
When I purchased it it was on an “introductory sale” offer “before the price goes up”. What happened there? You implied the app is worth more than $2.99!
I’m sure most of the people like me that bought the app on the first week wouldn’t mind paying $5 for it, but we mind being treated like idiots… Shame on you taptaptap.
It’s a shame that one of the best teams in the AppStore does this, you’re know at the level of the $1 knock-off camera apps out there. Shame on you.

I too purchased this at the introductory price of $2.99 only to find out that it now sells for .99.
I thought the price was to go up not down.

Seems the naysayers were right. The price going down from the introductory price was a really crappy thing to do to the early adopters.
And after upgrading to iOS 4.0 the app is basically useless due to the “iris” animation that closes and never opens up again after taking the first shot.
I should have listened to previous poster Miki’s warning. You guys are, it seems, all about initial revenue from the release of your apps and not about your software as expression of who you are as developers.

the viewfinder mode on mine (iPhone 4) is all messed up. Everything looks like it fell to the right 90 degrees. Is this a bug? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it hasn’t fixed it. Please help!

I have been using this app for a bit now and really like it. One feature i would love to see is a timer. This would be great for self shots. i find myself trying to hit the button when the phone is turned around and it’s difficult. Another option to fire off say 1-10 shots would be good too so you could get that one good shot.

Just one thing is missing – rotations of pictures. Please add in future updates. Thanks

This is an awesome app and definitely worth the price. I do have to agree with some of the users in that after a few shots sometimes the iris freezes and you end up having to restart application in order to obtain a large window to shoot your photo. Of course most of the time it reverts by default back to the small viewfinder for shooting photos when the freeze occurs. Is this a bug in the software? Have you considered possibly getting rid of the initial VIEW FINDER SCREEN and going directly to the large grid screen for shooting photos?
Love this application overall though. It produces great photos overall. Please tweak the operation of this application and you could easily charge $10 for it.

I love the stabilization software. That flashing message telling me to hold the camera steady does a great job of making sure my images aren’t hampered by motion blur. What a great program! What a total rip off!

Initially I was very pleased with Camera+ on my iPhone 4. However, I was very disappointed when after my holiday I found out that the EXIF data of Camera+ is incorrect. When saving photos to the camera roll the save time and date are saved and not the picture taken time. Moreover, the location information is missing
No I have to geotag all my pictures by hand
When trying to find out if other people had the same experience, I found that the app is no longer available in the app store. Why is that?
