Voices goes gold!

In the music industry, when an album sells 500,000 copies, it’s known as “going gold”. Since the iPhone app market has similar numbers as hit albums, we may as well adopt this standard and note when apps hit this milestone.
So we’re extremely pleased to announce that Voices has just gone gold.
I recently mentioned that I’d post the most recent sales figures for Voices, so here goes…
Since it’d been released 4 months ago, it’s netted right around $350,000 on the 500,000 sales.
To say the least, we’re incredibly happy with how many people have purchased and enjoy Voices. Thanks very much to all of you.
Along with several great projects that we’re currently working on, we’re also hard at work on Voices 2. It’s sure to be even more fun than Voices already is. The update will be free to all existing Voices users.
Oliver at Taptivate also posted his thoughts on the milestone.

Wow, congrats! I wonder how much was due to word of mouth. Guessing a lot, I know I’ve showed it at work, to family, and friends and then they pass it on. Great idea, fun/polished execution = remarkable.
