VolumeSnap update
Apple just sent us an email regarding our recent submission of Camera+ 1.3 with the VolumeSnap feature.

We don’t know exactly what the implications of this are yet, but it’s obviously better than a flat-out rejection. We all have our fingers crossed.
If you want this great feature in Camera+, we continue to urge you to let Apple know.

The feature I miss most from my old LG U990 (actually, the ONLY feature I miss) is the hard shutter button, I really hope this gets approved for Camera+ so you can move on to adding video recording
I submitted my feedback, every drop in the ocean helps create a wave.

I’m a new Camera+ user (bought it two days ago) and I’m loving every inch of it. Hope VolumeSnap gets by the approval team so we all can enjoy Camera+ even a little more!

When we got that e-mail for our app, we got a call from Apple about 5 days later telling us that our app was rejected (for bad naming). However, this was only after we e-mailed them again inquiring to the reason for the e-mail.

here is what i wrote to apple:
dear apple approval committee,
shooting with one hand is how good photos are taken. seriously – you will still rule the smart devices world if you allow this type of creativity. what’s up with the tight control over this? i mean – we are firing up a shot with a button – isn’t that what this is all about?
every single day that goes by i start thinking that soon enough (when my contract with ATT ends) will switch to android, as this type of nonsense simply does not occur.
where is the balance between being reasonable and flat out being disappointing?
as a company that rides the wave of usability – why on earth would you take the time to “think” about this?
top that with not allowing cross compiled apps as they are not “quality” and you have successfully turned a fan into a doubter. i.e. someone who questions your motives and agenda.
god bless

You can install SnapTap (http://tom.zickel.org/iphone/cydia/snaptap/depiction/) if your iPhone is jailbroken.

Last time we received an email like this it took 90 days for our app to get approved. but we observed on average a 1 month period. eventually we were glad it took so long as our app landed #2 in the global ranking

Last time we got an email like this, they rejected the app the day after
Still wish you better luck with the app review team, it’s an intriguing update- I’d like to see it approved.
